2. Commitment to safe products
ReByteLab selects and supplies products intended for safe use under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions, in accordance with applicable European and national requirements. Safety is assessed with regard to design, composition, packaging, instructions, use, interaction with other products and user groups.
3. Information in the online offer
Where required, the product page must clearly display:
- the product name, type, model and another product identifier,
- an image of the product,
- the manufacturer’s name and postal/electronic address,
- where the manufacturer is outside the EU, details of the responsible person or economic operator in the EU,
- warnings, instructions and safety information in an understandable language,
- age, environmental, electrical or other use restrictions, where applicable.
4. Electrical and electronic products
- Use only compatible chargers, cables, voltage and power.
- Do not cover ventilation openings or expose devices to moisture, extreme temperatures or fire.
- Do not use a product with a swollen, punctured or overheating battery.
- Follow the installation instructions for routers, cameras, alarm systems and electrical equipment.
- Installation in an electrical panel or fixed electrical system must be carried out by a suitably licensed technician.
5. Batteries, power banks and charging
Lithium batteries must be protected from impact, puncture, short circuit, high temperature and unsuitable chargers. Stop using them immediately if deformation, odour, smoke, leakage or unusual temperature is observed. Do not dispose of batteries with general waste.
6. Cameras, alarm systems and connected devices
The user is responsible for lawful installation and use, account security, strong passwords and software updates. Surveillance systems must be used with respect for privacy, data-protection law and third-party premises.
7. Recalls and corrective action
If a product is found to be dangerous or is recalled, ReByteLab may contact identified customers, publish a notice and request that use stop, or that the product be returned, repaired, replaced or otherwise corrected. Consumers should follow recall instructions promptly.
8. Reporting a safety incident
- stop using the product where it is safe to do so,
- move the product away from flammable materials without touching it if there is danger,
- call the emergency services where necessary,
- inform ReByteLab of the model and order number and provide photographs and a description without putting yourself at risk.
9. Disposal and recycling
Electrical appliances, electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators bearing the relevant marking must not be disposed of with household waste. Take them to an appropriate collection or recycling scheme in accordance with local instructions.
